Polytech Annecy-Chambéry is part of the Polytech network, which brings together 16 public engineering schools affiliated with French universities, offering 12 fields of study and more than 100 specializations.
All of these schools award the French engineering degree, recognized by the Commission des Titres d'Ingénieur (CTI).
Together, they account for around 10% of engineering graduates in France each year. With more than 115,000 engineering graduates, it is one of the largest networks of French engineers.
The school is affiliated withthe internationally recognizedUniversity of Savoie Mont Blanc. Students benefit from excellent training in a university on a human scale and an attractive living environment.
Polytech Annecy-Chambéry is a public engineering school. The actual cost of tuition, estimated at €12,000 per year, is covered by the government. Students therefore only pay university registration fees and the Student and Campus Life Contribution (CVEC).
In 2004, the teaching teams at the École Supérieure d'Ingénieurs d'Annecy (ESIA) and the École Supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Chambéry (ESIGEC) launched an ambitious project: to merge and create a single, prestigious engineering school in the Savoie region.
The project, approved by the Board of Directors of the University of Savoie in early 2006, officially became a reality on July 5, 2006, with the publication in the Official Journal of the decree creating the École Polytechnique Universitaire (EPU) of the University of Savoie, replacing ESIA and ESIGEC. The EPU is recognized as a University Polytechnic Center under Article L713-2 of the Education Code.
A few days later, on July 19, 2006, Polytech Annecy-Chambéry officially joined the Polytech network, thereby becoming part of a prestigious national network of engineering schools.
