OUR MASTERS
Master Solar energy: engineering and economics: academics in English, with Solar academy
Master 2 Energie solaire: academics continue in French
Master Ingénierie des systèmes complexes - Master Advanced Mechatronics course: academics in English
Master of Management and Business Administration: academics in French, with IAE Savoie Mont Blanc
The Solar energy engineering and economics master's degree is an innovative academics program that prepares students to meet the current and future challenges of the energy transition. The Master's program is developed jointly by the Polytech Annecy-Chambéry engineering school, the Institut d'Administration des Entreprises - IAE Savoie Mont Blanc, and the Faculty of Law. High-quality teaching, multi-disciplinary projects, stimulating creativity and entrepreneurial skills.
The two-year academics program offers two courses taught in English:
Solar Academy, the University Research School (EUR) of theUniversité Savoie Mont Blanc, is located on the Bourget-du-lac campus, on the premises of INES (Institut National de l'Énergie Solaire) and next to the Polytech Annecy-Chambéry engineering school.
Its mission is to become a national and international leader in scientific research, engineering, business, economics and law for a low-carbon model of distributed production and consumption. At the heart of its organization is a multidisciplinary approach, to enable the large-scale use of solar energy resources. The challenge is to transform this potential into real electricity production.
The Solar Academy combines practice and theory in the fields of solar and building physics, computer science, materials science, business, law, sociology, architecture and urban planning.
Courses are taught in English by international experts and highly-recognized partners from research institutions and industry, as well as by academic staff from theUniversité Savoie Mont Blanc. Disciplinary and international mobility, as well as immersion in an international research environment, are an integral part of the curriculum, bringing added value to students in terms of academics and research.
International mobility grants, prizes for the best projects, and scholarships for excellent academic results are all available.
The Solar Energy Master's in Continuing academics is an academics that prepares working professionals or those undergoing retraining to meet the challenges of the energy transition. The Master's degree is developed jointly by the Polytech Annecy-Chambéry engineering school, the Institut National de l'Énergie Solaire (INES academics and Evaluation), and the Institut Universitaire de academics Professionnelle (IUFP) of theUniversité Savoie Mont Blanc.
The academics Master Solar Energy develops two major objectives:
5 blocks of 3 weeks form :
The Master's degree in Complex Systems Engineering offers a research-oriented course entitled Advanced Mechatronics, taught in English. Where the physical and digital worlds meet, mechatronics is a process that integrates - in synergy - several sciences and skills (in electronics, mechanics, automation and IT). This enables us to imagine and design products and systems offering enhanced or improved functionality. The design of a product or system needs to be seen in the context of its overall life cycle, and as part of a cooperative, interdisciplinary approach.
The aim is to enable students to imagine, design, implement and operate a mechatronic system or product as part of a research or R&D project, and to prepare them for doctoral studies.
Graduates can continue their studies with a doctorate, working as senior executives in public or private R&D centers, and occupying high-level technical and scientific positions in specialized design offices.
Master's students develop the skills needed to meet the requirements of a multidisciplinary project in mechatronics, and become familiar with the demands of a research activity through blended learning.
3 main skills are developed during the program through supervised sessions, online courses, self-study and project- and problem-based learning:
■ Define and solve research problems
■ Manage a (research) project
■ Contribute to the design and production of a mechatronic system.
The master's program is supported by the SYMME LABORATORY laboratory, but also on the activities of 2 other Polytech Annecy-Chambéry laboratories LISTIC and LOCIE.
Given the interdisciplinary nature of the program, its subject matter and teaching methods (with a strong emphasis on projects), other laboratories at theUniversité Savoie Mont Blanc may be involved, such as the LAPP and the LIBM.
International mobility grants, prizes for the best projects, and scholarships for excellent academic results are all available.
The Master's program is built in partnership with the Polytech Annecy-Chambéry engineering school andIAE Savoie Mont Blanc. Students earn a Master's degree in addition to their engineering diploma.
Future engineers enrich their professional skills with managerial competencies in accounting, finance, law, economics and human resources.
The Master's degree in Management and Business Administration prepares students for high-level executive positions. Companies are looking for managers who, on the basis of strong initial skills, are capable of managing an activity in all its human, technical and managerial dimensions.
Resolutely action-oriented, the academics program focuses on the acquisition of operational know-how, tools and methods, both through courses and practical seminars, and through in-company experience in the form of tutored projects or internships.
