Dataverse

Dataverse is an open-source, international, collaborative web application for sharing, preserving, quoting, exploring and analyzing research data.

It makes it easier to make data available to others and to reproduce the work of others. Researchers, journals, data authors, publishers, data distributors and affiliated institutions all benefit from academic recognition and web visibility.

The main directory, Harvard Database, hosts several dataverse platforms. Each of these contains other dataverses or datasets composed of metadata and files (including documentation and code).

Dataverse is also present in the European Union to preserve data collected by research communities. Organizations, scientific institutions and university libraries have chosen this tool for their institutional repositories.

In France, institutions such asINRAE, CIRAD and CDSP have joined the Dataverse network to deposit and document their research data.
