The University Research Diploma (DU Recherche) offers international students from our partner universities the opportunity to spend a semester studying at Polytech Annecy-Chambéry. It combines an introduction to research in one of our laboratories with a number of academic courses covering subject-specific content, research methodology and, if necessary, French as a foreign language.
The Research University Diploma is designed for international students at the Master's level or in advanced engineering programs.
It is aimed at students who have completed at least 7 or 8 semesters of higher education in engineering or a related field (generally 4th or 5th year students). Finally, candidates must demonstrate a B2 level of proficiency in English or French.
Among the skills acquired at the end of the research university diploma program, students will be able to:
LISTIC: machine learning, data fusion, secure systems, uncertainty management, Earth observation, IoT, and signal and image processing
LOCIE: energy systems, building physics, sustainable construction, and integration of buildings into energy systems at the regional level
SYMME: mechatronics, smart materials, medical instrumentation, energy recovery, thermo-mechanical modeling, and industrial inspection
This program is only offered under specific agreements with partner universities. Students pay their tuition fees at their home institution, and no tuition fees are charged by Polytech Annecy-Chambéry. The program is not open to independent students (free movers).
