Climate change, with its increasingly frequent and severe heat waves, is leading to health risks and discomfort.
At the same time, air conditioners are developing rapidly and becoming commonplace. Their performance is increasingly important, and they provide appreciable indoor comfort. What's more, they are often reversible, providing both heating in winter and cooling in summer.
Why do we need them? How do they work? What impact do they have on the local and global environment? Are these machines the solution to global warming in the coming decades?
Elements of an answer with the conference "Climate control, a solution for coping with global warming?"presented by Nolwenn Le Pierres, teacher-researcher at the LabOratoire proCédés energIe bâtimEnt (LOCIE), to be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 6pm à the Turbine Sciences in Annecy (entrance via Cinéma la Turbine).
