CROUS services
Behind this acronym and its famous "red circle" logo lie numerous services both on and off campus. At USMB, the Crous Grenoble Alpes works closely with the university.
Catering, accommodation, scholarships, social support, access to culture, etc., the Crous' role is toimprove your living conditions and welcome on a daily basis to guarantee you the best chances of success throughout your studies.
Scholarship and housing services
The Crous is where you put together your Dossier Social Étudiant (DSE) each year to apply for a grant and student housing, and where you pay the CVEC (we'll explain what it is and what it's for a little further on).
When you put together your DSE, you can apply for accommodation in a Crous residence. At the USMB, you can take advantage of 2 residences on the Annecy campus, 5 residences in Chambéry or on the Jacob-Bellecombette campus, and 3 residences in the town of Bourget-du-Lac.
Please note: the main allocation phase for Crous housing takes place between June and July, and is reserved exclusively for students who have completed a Dossier social étudiant. Don't delay! Crous student housing is allocated on the basis of social criteria (income, family composition, distance between home and place of study, disability or caregiver status).
A complementary phase then opens in mid-July until the start of the new school year, allowing applications to be made for housing not allocated during the main phase. Allocations are always made on the basis of social criteria.
Social services for students
The student social service is run by Crous Grenoble Alpes. It is unified with the USMB for the Savoie and Haute-Savoie territories. If you're experiencing difficulties (financial, family...), don't wait and ask to be accompanied by a social worker.

- Annecy campus: at entrance H of the IUT building
To book an appointment, go to mesrdv.étudiant.gouv.fr and enter Crous de Grenoble / Service Social / Lieu de rendez-vous.
