Eco-challenge 4 elements: the inter-school sports challenge that puts you to the test! - #1 Défi Lac - Kayak relay

The Eco-Challenge 4 elements of the Association Sportive de l'Université Savoie Mont Blanc is an inter-filières challenge consisting of 4 solo and/or team sporting challenges. The 4 challenges are based on mountain elements and will take place on 4 different Thursdays.
Lake Challenge: on Thursday, October 26 from 1:30 pm to 4 pm on Lac du Bourget
Earth Challenge Thursday, December 14 at 7pm (during the Night & Run event), departing from Jacob-Bellecombette
Snow Challenge Thursday, February 22 at La Féclaz
Air Challenge Thursday, April 11 from 7pm to 10pm, in Annecy
An inter-channel ranking will be held during the year, rewarding :
- the most active branch, in terms of participation
- the fairest sector, in terms of costumes, atmosphere, solidarity, etc.
- the most sporting sector, in terms of performance
THE LAKE CHALLENGE
For this first challenge representing the water, we propose a relay race which will take place Thursday, October 26 from 1:30 to 4:00 pm at the Bourget du Lac Yacht Club.
Mixed team relays of 4 to 8 participants from the same course, paddling 2 by 2, on a 300m loop. Relays take place in the start area of the Bourget du Lac Yacht Club. A compulsory briefing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m., for a 2:00 p.m. start. The event lasts 2h00, and only complete laps will be counted.
Competitors agree to abide by these rules by the mere fact of their registration, and to respect the navigation code presented on the day of the event, the environment, private and public property and other users, as well as any safety instructions required in case of necessity.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
- Number collection takes place on Thursday from 1pm to 1:45pm at the Bourget du Lac Yacht Club. Number collection will stop 1/4 hour before the start of the race.
- All participants will be provided with solid and liquid refreshments during the race, and hot refreshments at the end.
- Each participant must have in his or her possession, throughout the event: shoes, proper clothing, closed lifejacket, provided by the organization.
- This popular nautical event requires you to be able to swim a distance of 15m.
