You love swimming in the pool, but have you ever tried open water swimming? In harmony with the environment, this discipline takes place in a natural environment - sea, lake or river. In fact, open water swimming has been an Olympic discipline since the 2008 Beijing Games!
The Sports Department is offering a 5-session course to help you learn to to swim in open water independently and safely. Please note: if you register, you agree to attend all sessions.
The sessions will take place on Lac du Bourgetat the end of the day, as follows:
Meet at 4pm at the Bourget du Lac municipal beach for the start.
In the event of cancellation or withdrawal due to bad weather, an extra session may be held on Wednesday, October 11, from 4pm to 6pm.

- Swimming goggles (preferably sunglasses)
- Bathing cap (brightly colored if possible, so you're easy to spot in the water!)
- Shorty or wetsuit if necessary (yes, it can get cold)
- Sunscreen (yes, it can be hot)
- Drink/snack
- Warm post-session clothing
Number of places: 8 people
Price: 10€ student, 20€ USMB staff.
