Originating in Japan, sylvotherapy (or forest bathing) refers to the practice of healing through contact with trees. An ancestral practice that forms part of naturopathy, it helps to prevent and rebalance the body at mental, emotional and physical levels. We invite you rdv on Thursday April 4 at 1.45pm in front of building 12 of the SSEWe'll then head for the forest, about 15 minutesfrom campus.
But how does it work in practice?
The Service de Santé Étudiante (Student Health Service) has put together a series of short green routes around the campus. Guided by a guide from the "Arbres & Bains de forêt" association, you'll walk in the heart of nature, between small wooded paths and luminous clears. Various workshops and games punctuate the route, making it both fun and relaxing. You can even hug the trees to receive their energy and, if you're lucky, catch a glimpse of a squirrel!
The aim: to reconnect with oneself in the same way as meditation. An ideal way to recharge your batteries in times of stress or overwork.
