[MODIFIE] Ciné-conférence autour du film “Les autres” – Fantastique au cinéma : apparitions, suggestions et insistances

In partnership with Ciné Malraux, Anaïs Guilet and Sylvain Santi, lecturers and researchers in the USMB literature department, invite you to an evening film-conference organized as part of the "Penser avec la fiction" (Thinking with fiction) project.

En lien avec le film “Les autres” d’Alejandro Amenabar, ce ciné-conférence vous propose d’échanger autour du fantastique dans le cinéma. Il débutera par une conférence (à 19h) animée par Denis Mellier, Professeur de littérature comparée à l’Université de Poitiers. Si le fantastique au cinéma ne réside ni dans un type de personnages, de situations ou de décors, s’il déborde toujours le genre dans lequel on chercher à le définir, à quelles conditions se manifeste-t-il dans la forme des films eux-mêmes? Un critique, ami de Maupassant, Ernest Hello, disait que le fantastique n’était pas dans l’objet mais dans l’œil. Le cinéma propose-t-il une manière fantastique de voir objets et situations? Puis la séance se poursuivra avec la projection du film “Les Autres” à 20h30.

WHAT IS THINKING WITH FICTION?

"Thinking with fiction" is a series of 4 film lectures offered throughout the academic year. These film lectures provide an opportunity to develop your cinematographic culture, your critical mind and your awareness of the culture of the image, by learning about the discourses that can be held on and from a film.

The program can be built around a director, an aesthetic movement, a thematic issue or a historical period. The film screening is followed by a debate and/or preceded by a lecture given by LLSH teachers or specialists.

This project is led by Anaïs Guilet and Sylvain Santi, members of the LLSETI laboratory (Langages, Littératures, Sociétés, Études Transfrontalières et Internationales) at USMB.
