Financing your internship abroad

Sometimes, internships are rewarded according to the remuneration in force in your destination country. And sometimes not.

There are, however, grants available to help defray the costs of your mobility. Here are a few tips and you can find all the practical information you need in this practical guide concocted by the
International Relations Department.

If you complete an internship of at least 2 months and take part in the Erasmus+ program, you will be eligible for an Erasmus + grant .

If you receive a grant based on social criteria and are not eligible for an Erasmus+ grant, you may be entitled to theAide à la Mobilité Internationale (AMI) .

Additional funding is available if :

  • you have a very low income, or if you live in a rural revitalization zone or a priority district.
  • you have a disability or long-term condition
  •  you travel to your place of mobility using more environmentally-friendly modes of transport (train, coach, carpooling).

You can benefit from a regional grant for international mobility (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes) for up to 14 weeks.

If you are receiving a grant based on social criteria and are not eligible for a regional grant, you may be entitled to theAide à la Mobilité Internationale (AMI).
