"Débandade" - Dance

Thanks to its partnership with theEspace Malraux Scène Nationale (Chambéry ), the USMB can offer you free or discounted tickets to shows all year round! Tuesday November 28 at 8pmthe university invites you to attend the dance show "Débandade".

Free places are available, reserved exclusively for USMB students and pupils from the Institut de academics en Soins Infirmiers (IFSI) in Chambéry and Annecy. Funded by the Contribution à la vie étudiante et de campus (CVEC).

ABOUT THE SHOW

How do we live our masculinity today? Is patriarchy over? What is virility? The title is a little provocative. But the approach is full of curiosity and benevolence.

Faced with the salutary but sometimes offensive feminist movements, men sometimes find it hard to find their place. With Débandade, choreographer Olivia Grandville has chosen to give them the microphone in a subversive way. She offers a man's piece... thought up by a woman. To the sound of a playlist ranging from David Bowie to Missy Elliott, she invites 7 dancers in their thirties, with diverse cultural origins and artistic backgrounds, to question their perception of masculinity, through both body and word.

A choral choreographic piece, in tune with the feminist revolutions, which humorously and sensitively draws a complex, rich and contradictory picture.
