ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The building sector is responsible for 17% of greenhouse gas emissions and accounts for almost half of all energy expenditure in France. With around 4.8 million homes considered to be "thermal flats", and faced with the urgent need to tackle climate change, the French government is stepping up its efforts to combat these energy-hungry dwellings. Energy renovation plays a central role in the fight against climate change, but it also helps to provide the most vulnerable households with decent housing, combat fuel poverty, promote social justice and create jobs. To achieve the objectives set by France, a number of measures have been put in place, including new energy regulations and financial assistance for the most vulnerable households. In the face of soaring energy prices, what impact can all these measures have on the various spheres of the economy and society?
