This year,université Savoie Mont Blanc and the université Savoie Mont Blanc Faculty of Law are hosting the tenth series of Comparative Political Life Lectures, featuring researchers in the social sciences and humanities whose work sheds light on major contemporary socio-political issues.
These lectures are organized using the Zoom online tool and are open to the general public without registration.

For the final lecture in this series, Margot Giacinti, a doctoral student at the Triangle-ENS Lyon laboratory and ATER in political science at theUniversity of Lyon II, will give a talk on her thesis entitled "Le féminicide : enjeux socio-historiques d'une catégorisation juridique dans l'espace francophone, de la Révolution française à nos jours" (Feminicide: socio-historical issues of a legal categorization in the French-speaking world, from the French Revolution to the present day) on Thursday April 1 from 3:45pm to 5:30pm. She will also talk about her field of research in the history of political thought and gender studies.

about the speaker

Margot Giacinti, a doctoral student at the Triangle-ENS Lyon laboratory and ATER in political science at theUniversity of Lyon II, is currently working on a thesis entitled: Le féminicide : enjeux socio-historiques d'une catégorisation juridique dans l'espace francophone, de la Révolution française à nos jours. She has published a note for the Fondation Jean Jaurès (November 2021) and several papers in France and abroad on this theme, which touches on a painful reality in contemporary France.
