FREE-Alpes seminar : Circular economy, waste, territory and resources

As part of the FREE-Alpes Federation, a seminar on the theme of " Circular economy, waste, territories and resources " is being organized on January 25, 2019 from 8:45 am to 3:10 pm in the L'Horloge building on the Bourget-du-Lac campus. It will bring together all the Federation's researchers working on the theme, and all those who are simply interested in these subjects.

The program

  • 9.15am: Introduction to the seminar
  • 9:20 a.m.: Conference

"Interdisciplinary approach to the circular economy: the three "ecologies" of urban metabolism" by Dr. Jean-Baptiste BAHERS CNRS Research Fellow (Interdisciplinary Section 52 Environnements-sociétés) Laboratoire Espaces et SOciétés (UMR ESO 6590 CNRS), University of Nantes.

  • 10:30am: Presentation of FREE-Alpes laboratory projects (session 1)

    • "Nouvelles voies de valorisation des déchets viticoles sur le territoire Savoie Mont Blanc : une alternative à la pratique du brûlage à l'air libre (projet VITIVALO)" (LCME)
    • "Modalités organisationnelles des circuits courts de valorisation du bois dans les Alpes" (EDYTEM)

"Launch of Grenoble Alpes Métropole's CODEC program: a methodology for modeling flows on a metropolitan scale".

  • 11:45: Presentation of FREE-Alpes laboratory projects (session 2)

    • "Valorization of organic waste for the development of new economic, sustainable and local industries: applications to invasive plants and waste from the agrifood sector (RENOUER and VALORWaste projects)" (LCME)
    • "Characterization of end-of-life plastics using a multi-criteria approach to a polymer/tracer/detector system for automated sorting" (EDYTEM)
    • "Presentation of the Boat project: what forms of management and valorization of different biomasses of agricultural origin on a territorial scale: between compartmentalization, competition or integration?" (LESSEM)
