The conference " The role of materials for a sustainable energy future " will be presented by Emilie Planès, research professor at the Laboratoire d'Électrochimie et de Physicochimie des Matériaux et des Interfaces (LEPMI), at the Institut Universitaire de Technologie (IUT) in Chambéry. It will take place on Thursday April 24, 2025 at 8.30pm at the Salle des Fêtes Fabrice MelquiotPlace de l'Europe 73500 Modane.
It will also be held :

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
At the heart of the French National Solar Energy Institute, researchers in the LEPMI laboratory are working on optimizing materials to harness renewable energy sources. For example, they are developing third-generation photovoltaic cells. These devices hold great promise: their low energy cost, ease of manufacture and high efficiency are combined with remarkable stability.
One of the challenges of using renewable energy sources is their variable availability. This calls for innovative storage systems.
The development of redox flow batteries, which have the great advantage of not using lithium, is currently hampered by problems with the stability of certain components. LEPMI is exploring several avenues to develop more durable polymer membranes for these batteries.
