What makes Usain Bolt run so fast? Why don't humans jump as high as other animals? How can we optimize our training to be even better? On the eve of the Olympic Games in Paris, sports performance has never been so much the focus of attention in France, especially when it comes to understanding what limits it. These performances are the result of interactions between the laws of physics that affect each and every one of us, and the physiological principles that govern how our bodies function.
