On Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 7pm, Espace Culturel La Traverse andUniversité Savoie Mont Blanc (USMB) are joining forces to organize an Apéro Art/Sciences around the theme "The augmented body".
ABOUT THE EVENT
With the choreography "Le corps augmenté" ("The augmented body") by Compagnie de danse Gambit, experience an evening of discovery and practice, experimenting with the possible intersections between art (dance) and the human sciences, before sharing an earthy treat.
The augmented body: all hybrids! The body is under pressure to do more and more. Researchers and artists are trying to transgress the body's limits...by augmenting it!
Biosciences, multimedia and new technologies are just some of the tools available to create a "super body". This evening will be an opportunity to discover and observe the possibilities offered by these new "superpowers". It's a convivial and original encounter on a highly topical theme, an evening where taste buds, ears and eyes will be stimulated.
The program includes - performance/extract with professional dancers and a live musician, virtual reality experiments and demonstrations with the help of Carole Brandon, researcher at the Langages, Littératures, Sociétés, Études Transfrontalières et Internationales (LLSETI) laboratory atUniversité Savoie Mont Blanc (USMB) and teacher in the Hypermedia Area communication department of theUFR LLSH and USMB students.
