On Friday November 29, the Centre de Recherche en Droit Antoine Favre is organizing a symposium on "Brexit and public finances". It will be held from 2pm to 6pm, in the amphitheater of theUniversité Savoie Mont Blanc presidency in Chambéry.
Public finances are a major issue in the negotiations for the UK's exit from the European Union. The consequences of the Brexit have been felt since the referendum results were announced in 2016, and look set to be long-lasting, both for the UK and for the European Union and its member states. This symposium is an opportunity to analyze the financial implications of the Brexit, first for the UK, "The Brexit and British public finances", then on "Negotiating the financial settlement" and, finally, on European finances, "The consequences of the Brexit on European public finances".
