LLSETI Conference - "1989-2020: The United States in economic war: from the force of law to the law of force".

TheUFR Langues, Lettres et Sciences Humaines de l'Université Savoie Mont Blanc and its Langages, Littératures, Sociétés, Études Transfrontalières et Internationales (LLSETI) laboratory are organizing a conference on "1989-2020: Les États-Unis en guerre économique, de la force du droit au droit de la force". It will be moderated by Ali Laïdi, researcher at theÉcole de Pensée sur la Guerre Économique (EPGE) and author of numerous books on economic warfare, including "Le Droit, nouvelle arme de guerre économique" (Actes Sud, 2019).

The conference will be held at 4:30 pm on the Jacob-Bellecombette campus, in amphitheater 19 000 of building 19.

About the conference

In the United States, law has become an economic weapon. A weapon that wreaks havoc with Washington's enemies and friends alike. For the past ten years, European and Chinese companies have been under fire from Justice Department prosecutors and financial regulatory agency directors, who suspect them of violating U.S. laws (anti-corruption, embargo violations, export licenses, etc.). The conference shows how America has opened a new front in the economic war that is destabilizing the rest of the world. A destabilization that has only just begun.
