This month, the USMB University Libraries are turning their attention to the issue of climate. From January 16 to 27, five mini-conferences by scientific experts are being organized at the Bourget-du-Lac BU, open to all, to learn, reflect, exchange and act for the climate!

At the same time, three exhibitions - all on the subject of climate change - can be visited at the BUs in Annecy and Le Bourget-du-Lac.

Who better than scientific experts to take stock of the current state of the climate? In 30 minutes, our teacher-researchers share their knowledge with you! Come to your BU on the Bourget-du-Lac campus from 12:00 to 12:30 to discuss the latest topic in the conference cycle:

"Global warming: scenarios for the future?" with Isabelle Couchoud, senior lecturer at the EDYTEM laboratory: "Human activities have increased the greenhouse effect, and the Earth has already warmed by +1.2°C compared to the pre-industrial period, with increasingly visible consequences. But how will global warming evolve over the course of this century? Sophisticated modelling techniques allow us to make projections, according to various scenarios. What are the hypotheses considered? What path might global warming take? The future is not written, but it's up to us to anticipate it.
