This month, the USMB University Libraries are focusing on climate issues. From January 16 to 27, five mini-conferences featuring scientific experts will be held at the Bourget-du-Lac University Library and are open to everyone to learn, reflect, discuss, and take action for the climate!
At the same time, three exhibitions —also on the topic of climate change—can be visited at the Annecy and Le Bourget-du-Lac university libraries.

Who better than scientific experts to take stock of the state of the climate today? In just 30 minutes, our teacher-researchers will share their knowledge with you! Join us at your campus library in Bourget-du-Lac from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. to discuss the latest topic in the conference series:
“Global warming: scenarios for the future?” with Isabelle Couchoud, senior lecturer at the EDYTEM laboratory: "Human activities have increased the greenhouse effect, the Earth has already warmed by +1.2°C compared to the pre-industrial period, and the consequences are becoming increasingly visible. But how will global warming evolve over the course of this century? Sophisticated modeling allows us to make projections based on various scenarios. What assumptions are being considered? What path could global warming take? The future is not written, but it is up to us to anticipate it."
