May 20, 2019 09:00 - June 14, 2019 18:00

24 students from the Law - Applied Foreign Languages double degree program took part in a study trip to Brussels from April 8 to 11, 2019. Accompanied by Paul Constable and Damien Bouvier, two teachers fromUniversité Savoie Mont Blanc (USMB), they discovered the institutions and activities of the European Union. In addition to numerous meetings with key players in the sector (within the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Delegation of the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes Region, as well as with representatives of interest groups), the students in smaller groups also obtained interviews with specialized contacts on more targeted themes. On their return, they designed six posters on the following themes:

  • The adoption of a text by the European Union and the role of lobbies;
  • The environment ;
  • Migration ;
  • Development cooperation ;
  • Erasmus ;
  • Equal pay.

The posters will form the backdrop to an exhibition on the theme of "The impact of European legislation on the daily lives of Europeans". The exhibition, open to the academic world and the general public, aims to raise visitors' awareness of the European Union and the impact of European legislation on the daily lives of Europeans in the run-up to the European elections.
