PITON is a scheme aimed at companies, prospective companies, organizations and local authorities in the Savoie region who want to innovate, but lack the time or skills to do so. All business sectors and company sizes are welcome. Each project is led by a multidisciplinary team of 3 to 5 students over a period of 3 to 6 months, during which structures and students collaborate in start-up mode.
PITON is a program created byuniversité Savoie Mont Blanc (USMB) and the Université Savoie Mont Blanc Foundation.

- Examples of missions entrusted to a PITON team: Definition of business models for the financial validation of a development; Validation of a project's marketing strategy; Design of a made-to-measure machine; Research into manufacturing processes for a particular type of metal part; Development of a mobile app (code, graphics, servers) and study of requirements; Realization of an automated and robotized maintenance solution.
