PITON is a program designed for businesses, startups, organizations, and local governments in the Savoie region that want to innovate but lack the time or expertise to do so. All industries and company sizes are welcome. Each project is led by a multidisciplinary team of 3 to 5 students over a period of 3 to 6 months, during which the organizations and students will collaborate in a startup-style environment.
PITON is an initiative created by the University of Savoie Mont Blanc (USMB) and the University of Savoie Mont Blanc Foundation.

- Examples of projects entrusted to a PITON team: Defining business models for the financial validation of a development; Validating a project’s marketing strategy; Designing a custom machine; Researching manufacturing processes for a specific type of metal part; Developing a mobile app (code, graphics, servers) and conducting a requirements analysis; Implementing an automated and robotic maintenance solution.
