Since 11 December 2019, mountaineering has been part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. For 20 years, there has been talk of the Mont Blanc massif being listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but where do we really stand?
In his book "UNESCO AU MONT-BLANC", Bernard Debarbieux retraces the winding trajectories of these two candidacies, which he witnessed first-hand. On Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 5:30 p.m., he will give a behind-the-scenes account of this double adventure and show the progress of the Mont Blanc bid.
This seminar, organised in the framework of the European Cross-Border Cooperation Project Interreg Alcotra FEAST, will take place in the M30 amphitheatre of the Pôle Montagne on the Bourget-du-Lac campus.
