Since December 11, 2019, mountaineering has been part of humanity's intangible cultural heritage. For 20 years , there has been talk of listing the Mont Blanc massif as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but where does this stand today?
In his book "L’UNESCO AU MONT-BLANC"(UNESCO at Mont Blanc), Bernard Debarbieux recounts the winding paths of these two applications, which he had the privilege of witnessing firsthand. On Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at 5:30 p.m., he will share behind-the-scenes stories of this dual adventure and reveal the progress of Mont Blanc's application.
This seminar, organized as part of the Interreg Alcotra FEAST European cross-border cooperation project, will take place in lecture hall M30 of the Pôle Montagne on the Bourget-du-Lac campus.
