As part of the 12th edition of the USMB Employment and Enterprise Week, the Chemistry department of theUFR Sciences et Montagne and students from the BECHER association (Bureau des étudiantes et étudiants en chimie et environnement des Savoie) are organizing the 3rd USMB Green and Environmental Chemistry Careers Forum on Friday, November 22, 2019, starting at 9am on the Bourget-du-Lac campus.
The objectives of this event are to :
- Introduce chemistry students to the range of careers open to them after a bachelor's or master's degree, through testimonials from professionals in the field and former students at academics ;
- Give professionals the opportunity to find their future collaborators among the students of the USMB's Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Chemistry, in the context of internships, work-study programs or jobs within their structure;
- Develop a unique green and environmental chemistry network by creating privileged links between future graduates and professionals from academia and industry.
ON THE PROGRAM
The Forum will feature several highlights:
- from 9am: short talks on chemistry careers, the job market and USMB training courses
- from 1:30 pm: experience sharing. Thematic workshops led by Master's alumni and professionals: green chemistry, environmental chemistry and technical-commercial activities.
- From 6.15pm: special evening celebrating 20 years of the Master's degree in Chemistry
