As part of the 12th edition of USMB’s Career and Business Week, the Chemistry Department ofthe UFR Sciences et Montagne and the students of the BECHER association (Office of Chemistry and Environmental Science Students of Savoie) are organizing the 3rd USMB Green and Environmental Chemistry Careers Forum on Friday, November 22, 2019, starting at 9:00 a.m. on the Bourget-du-Lac campus.
The objectives of this event are to:
- To introduce chemistry students to the range of career paths available to them after earning a bachelor’s or master’s degree, through testimonials from industry professionals and alumni of the program;
- To provide professionals with the opportunity to recruit future employees from among USMB’s undergraduate and graduate chemistry students through internship, work-study, or job opportunities at their organizations;
- To develop a unique network for green and environmental chemistry by fostering close ties between future graduates and professionals in academia and industry.
ON THE PROGRAM
The Forum will feature several highlights:
- Starting at 9 a.m.: short presentations on careers in chemistry, the job market, and USMB’s academic programs
- Starting at 1:30 p.m.: sharing of experiences. Thematic workshops led by master’s program alumni and professionals: green chemistry, environmental chemistry, and technical-sales roles
- Starting at 6:15 p.m.: Special 20th Anniversary Celebration for the Master's in Chemistry
