The conference "Let's be "Zen"! A reflection on the value of carbon", presented by Aude Pommeret, university professor at the Institute for Research in Management and Economics (IREGE), IAE Savoie Mont Blanc, will take place on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at 6 p.m. in Chambéry (USMB Presidency).
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Following the Paris Agreement, France's ambition is to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions on national soil by 2050. This is the "ZEN" objective: zero net greenhouse gas emissions linked to human activities, with residual gross emissions intended to be absorbed by carbon sinks such as forests, grasslands and,
in the longer term, technical devices for carbon capture and sequestration. This ambition must be embodied in changes in behaviour and public and private investment. To trigger these changes, it is necessary to put a value on carbon. Aude Pommeret participated as a scientific expert in the drafting of the report "The
value of climate action", published by France Stratégie in February 2019, under the direction of Alain Quinet.
