CROUS student housing
The residence halls have a total capacity of 1,059 beds spread across the university’s three campuses.
Various types of housing are available:
- Traditional rooms measuring 9 m² (Jacob) or 12 m² (Bourget-du-Lac)
- renovated rooms with private bathrooms
- studios or shared apartments in new apartment buildings

- between January 15 and May 15 of the year preceding your enrollment for housing assignments for the September academic year
- year-round for housing applications submitted during the year or for short-term housing requests

If you are not a citizen of the European Union, are not participating in an exchange program, and are not a scholarship recipient, please refer to the guidelines for submitting a specific application.
Housing departments of the city halls of Chambéry, Annecy, and Aix-les-Bains
In the Chambéry metropolitan area, find housing listings on the Kestudi website.
The Accommodation Service of the Aix-les-Bains Riviera des Alpes Tourist Office and local town halls offers accommodations on their website.
In the Annecy metropolitan area, the Youth Information Office runs a housing service at the City of Annecy website.
The Association of the Student Foundation for the City (AFEV)
AFEV offers shared apartments or university dorm rooms at affordable rates (between €259 and €390, all utilities included) in Chambéry. In exchange, each student commits to dedicating 3 to 5 hours per week to a community service project in the neighborhood, focusing on various themes such as social cohesion, sustainable development, intergenerational solidarity, or supporting children in need.
The Family Allowance Fund (CAF)
From now on, applications for housing assistance are 100% online: there’s no need to visit the CAF in person. Everything is done online at the CAF website.
