As part of the 2022 edition of the Festival International des Métiers de Montagne (FIMM),université Savoie Mont Blanc is organizing a round-table discussion on Thursday, November 24, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., on the following theme: "Accompagner les transitions en territoire de montagne par la academics et la recherche-action".
Round Table: "Supporting transitions in mountain regions through academics and action research".
Tourism is more than ever at a critical point in its cultural, economic and territorial trajectory. The health, climate, energy and social crises are forcing us to rethink both practices and policies. The fragilities and impacts of tourism point to increasingly pressing societal dilemmas: globalization or relocalization? acceleration or slowdown?
Thinking "beyond" implies in-depth work on mobility, living, and the art of living, consuming and working in a more sustainable way. In this context, transition is more than a simple adaptation: it's an in-depth transformation that mountain regions are facing today. université Savoie Mont Blanc and its academic partners are strongly committed to helping these regions through :
- A contribution of knowledge resulting from multidisciplinary and collaborative research-action that feeds and enlightens the reflections and decision-making of politicians and stakeholders;
- In-depth work on training content and support for recruiters to better match the expectations of future professionals with the needs of a fast-changing sector.
The round table will be moderated by Arnaud Grandjacques, Director of USMB's Pôle Tourisme Montagne Inventive (PTMI). The speakers will be :
