A day to get a taste of college life… before making a decision

Want to know what it’s really like to be a college student? High School Student Day (JDL) is an immersive day on the Bourget-du-Lac campus: you’ll explore degree programs, talk with students who were in your shoes not long ago, and participate in workshops that will help you gain clarity on your career plans.

When and where?

📅 Thursday, March 11, 2027
⏰ From 9:30 a.m. to 4:
📍 Bourget-du-Lac Campus – Campus map on the USMB website

Why participate?

Choosing a major is a crucial step in your educational journey. Since you’ll be selecting your specialized courses in your junior year, it’s essential to start thinking about your future academic plans as early as your sophomore year. USMB supports you in this process by opening its doors to you for a full immersion in university life.

Soon, you'll have to choose your areas of specialization, and then decide what to study next. It's not easy to decide without knowing what it's like! The JDL lets you:

  • Learn more about the university’s academic programs (Arts, Literature, and Languages; Law, Economics, and Management; Humanities and Social Sciences; Science, Technology, and Health);
  • Ask any questions you have to students who are familiar with the university;
  • Play “Explore le sup,” a board game that lets you step into the shoes of a college student—academics, clubs, campus life—without any stress and while having fun;
  • Get a sense of the campus: lecture halls, classrooms, and the campus atmosphere.

  • Get your bearings on campus: with the map and the virtual tour, you'll know exactly where to go on the big day;
  • Think about lunch: ask your homeroom teacher if you’ll be eating lunch on campus. You can also bring a packed lunch (an indoor area is available in case of bad weather);
