Within the university, executive power and decision-making power are separate. Executive power is exercised by the university president. Decision-making power is exercised by the board of directors (CA). The academic council essentially has an advisory role.
THE PRESIDENT
The president is elected by an absolute majority of the members of the board of directors for a four-year term, renewable once. He or she heads the institution and is responsible for its revenue and expenditure. The president chairs the two university councils and has authority over all the institution's staff. He appoints the examination boards, is responsible for maintaining order, and represents the university in dealings with third parties and in legal proceedings.
THE PRESIDENTIAL TEAM
The presidential team is composed of the vice presidents (elected on the recommendation of the president), special advisors, the chief of staff, and the chief financial officer.
THE OFFICE
It is composed of the president, the vice-president of the board of directors and first vice-president, the vice-president of the board of directors, the vice-president of training, the vice-president of research, and the seven directors of UFRs, schools, and institutes.
It assists the president in the day-to-day management of the institution. It meets once a week.
