Within the university, executive and decision-making powers are separated. Executive power is exercised by the university president. Decision-making power is exercised by the Board of Directors (CA). The Academic Council's role is essentially consultative.
THE PRESIDENT
The President is elected by an absolute majority of Board members for a four-year term, renewable once. The President manages the institution and is the authorizing officer for all revenues and expenditures. He chairs the university's two councils and has authority over all the establishment's staff. He appoints juries, is responsible for maintaining order and represents the university in dealings with third parties and in legal proceedings.
THE PRESIDENTIAL TEAM
The presidential team is made up of vice-presidents (elected at the proposal of the president), project managers, the general manager and the accounting officer.
THE OFFICE
It is made up of the President, the Vice President of the Board of Directors and First Vice President, the Vice President of the Board of Directors, the Vice President academics, the Vice President Research and the seven Directors of the UFRs, Schools and Institutes.
It assists the President in the day-to-day management of the establishment. It meets once a week.
