LEARNING DEPARTMENT

The Digital and Remote Support for Student Success (APPRENDRE) department supports teachers in implementing educational activities tailored to today's students.

The department's responsibilities are to:

  • train and enable the university's teaching teams to develop their skills,
  • supporting teachers and staff at the University of Savoie Mont Blanc in adopting new teaching practices,
  • Advise the institution and monitor university teaching methods and digital technology in an educational context.
  • working in a network to bring together the various players in digital university education around joint initiatives

THE INSTITUTE OF TRANSITIONS

The Institute for Transitions is a department created in December 2023 within the University of Savoie Mont Blanc to strengthen the university's commitment and impact in its region and contribute to understanding and supporting environmental, industrial, and societal transitions.

  • Facilitates collaboration, breaking down barriers, and systemic and interdisciplinary approaches in the university's various fields of activity: innovation, research, training, and knowledge dissemination.
  • Involves all university structures (departments, laboratories) and the university community (faculty, staff, and students) as well as its stakeholders.
  • Strengthens USMB's commitment and visibility in its priority areas: human-environment interactions, cultural heritage and changing societies, services and industries of the future.
  • Organized around three main missions: promoting interdisciplinary research in the institution's distinctive areas, developing interdisciplinary training and training-research links, and promoting research and collaborative innovation (including the PITON and PTMI programs).

ACCENTS

As a university center specializing in teaching French to foreigners, ACCENTS offers French as a Foreign Language (FLE) courses. With its "Qualité FLE" certification, ACCENTS also administers Diplômes d'études/approfondi en langue française (DELF/DALF) exams, Tests d'évaluation de français (TEF) exams, and Test de connaissance du français (TCF) exams for students, professionals, applicants for French citizenship, applicants for immigration to Canada or Quebec, and any non-French-speaking individuals who wish to certify their level of French internationally.
