Open science and scientific culture for the general public

As a university in the community,université Savoie Mont Blanc plays a key role in the transmission of knowledge, promoting science for and with society. Together with its local partners, it promotes scientific and technical culture by organizing events throughout Savoie Mont Blanc.

Events for the general public

As part of the 2nd national plan for Open Science, the USMB offers numerous events for students, such as the Mon prof ce Chercheur meetings, as well as for the general public, with the Amphis pour Tous lecture series held throughout the Savoie Mont Blanc region, participation in the Nuit des chercheurs (Researchers' Night), and annual participation in the Ma thèse en 180 secondes (My thesis in 180 seconds) competition and the Fête de la Science (Science Festival).

The university is also a partner of the Centres de Culture Scientifique, Technique et Industrielle (CCSTI) at the Galerie Eurêka (Chambéry) and the Turbine science (Annecy), as well as the Chambéry-based association Science-Actions. These partners offer numerous events throughout the year involving USMB researchers.
