As a university in the community,Université Savoie Mont Blanc plays a key role in the transmission of knowledge, promoting science for and with society. Together with its local partners, it promotes scientific and technical culture by organizing events throughout Savoie Mont Blanc. The university also participates in the international dissemination of knowledge through the Nuit Européenne des Chercheurs, an event co-organized within the UNITA Alliance.
Events for the general public
As part of the 2nd national plan for Open Science, the USMB offers numerous events for students, such as the Mon prof ce Chercheur meetings, as well as for the general public, including the Amphis pour Tous lecture series held throughout the Savoie Mont Blanc region, participation in the Nuit Européenne des Chercheurs (European Researchers' Night) in partnership with the UNITA Alliance, and annual participation in the Ma thèse en 180 secondes (My thesis in 180 seconds) competition.
