This payment facility is available from June 27, 2023 to October 5, 2023 for online registrations, or from July 4, 2023 to October 14, 2023 for on-site registrations.
State-guaranteed student loans: characteristics and partner banks
To help students pay their tuition fees, the French government has partnered with a number of banks to offer a loan of up to €20,000, known as a state-guaranteed loan. The partner banks are Société Générale, Crédit Mutuel, CIC, Banques Populaires and Caisses d'Épargne. More concretely, this is a loan with no personal guarantee and no means-testing, for a minimum term of 2 years, with the possibility of deferred repayment of monthly instalments, and with no requirement for a guarantee from a third party or a relative. For the record, applicants may keep their current bank account, even if it is not with one of the banks selected for the government-backed loan.
