Theater

TRUC Association Théâtre de Recherche Universitaire Chambérien. Under the guidance of a professional director, students put on a play to be presented at the end of the academic year. Rehearsals on Monday and Tuesday evenings in amphi 11000 (Jacob-Bellecombette campus).

The TRUC offers all students :

  • Improv theater" workshops: matches and different improvisation concepts with themes suggested by the public, at different venues in Chambéry.
    Every Tuesday evening from 8pm to 11pm on the Jacob-Bellecombette campus.
  • Workshops to prepare "Enquêtes Grandeur Nature": giant cluedo on the different campuses of the Université de Savoie Mont Blanc.
    Every Tuesday from 5.45pm to 7.45pm on the Jacob-Bellecombette campus.
  • Role-playing" groups: a place for players and game masters to get together to form teams and play at a venue proposed by the association. Role-playing sessions take place in flexible time slots and at different events throughout the year and on different campuses.
  • Text theater" workshops: Monday evenings from 8pm to 11pm on the Jacob-Bellecombette campus. The workshops are free and open to all. Students create a play to be presented at the end of the academic year. Both text-based and improvisational plays are performed in various cultural venues around the city.

Cinema

Association Univerciné : the chance to get involved in program selection and film criticism for the weekly film show at Jacob-Bellecombette (amphi 11000).

Music

  • Association Fac Musique: a student music association that organizes improvisation sessions with Pole Jam every Thursday from 7pm to 10pm in Amphi 11000 on the Jacob-Bellecomette Campus. It's free and open to all as spectators and participants, with or without instruments. Members of the association also perform at various events on and off campus.

Cultural activities

ACUA: Association Culturelle Universitaire Anneécienne.
Every year, the association organizes a cultural week in March with concerts and events on the Annecy campus.

Dance

Amateur dance company at the University
Go behind the scenes of the creation of a show (acrobatic dance/live music), created by the amateur students and professional dancers and musicians of Compagnie Gambit. The opportunity to practice a physical activity based on acrobatic dance in a group, and to go beyond your limits, experiment, test, risk, meet... on the program, movement research workshops, work with an object/set: ramps of different dimensions module on the artistic environment. The creation of an amateur and professional show, "to meet up you" is open to all artistic disciplines. Company open to all.

Piano

Play the piano at university? It's possible!
Three top-of-the-range digital pianos (YAMAHA CLP 280) on each campus for individual practice or concert organization.

Optional cross-disciplinary artistic and cultural teaching unit

AtUniversité Savoie Mont Blanc, arts and culture teaching units (UE) provide an introduction to artistic culture:

The aim is to create art venues on the 3 campuses, and for students to program regular exhibitions and events linking the visual arts with other artistic or scientific disciplines. Students are trained in the design of art exhibitions, and introduced to digital art.

In collaboration with the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Chambéry, the aim of the course is to acquire skills in organizing events at the museum, communicating about museum events, and involving other students in organized events.

In partnership with the Espace Malraux, the aim of the passport is to build a critical discourse. On the program: panorama of theater today; reflections on contemporary aesthetics; visit to the Charles Dullin theater and discovery of the technical side; meeting with theater staff; discovery of different professions; notions on artistic production; meeting with the Amicale de Production team; reflections on the construction of a show / The contribution of today's technologies to performance.
