Festival "Plus d'égalité" - Conference "LGBT and discrimination: what legal arsenal to respond to societal change?"

From March 8 to April 5, the "Plus d'égalité" (More Equality) Festival will take place on theUniversité Savoie Mont Blanc (USMB) campuses, and in partner venues. Taking the time to ask questions, accepting confrontation, imagining solutions, but above all thinking together and debating together around questions of equality, that's the aim of the different events of this festival. The USMB is offering conferences, round-table discussions and meetings with artists and specialists who will question our representations of relations between women and men.

Thursday March 29, on the Chambéry/Jacob-Bellecombette campus, the conference "LGBT and discrimination. Quel arsenal juridique pour répondre à l'évolution sociétale?", with Louis-Georges Tine, Iris Médina and Monique Droguet, members of theContact association, and Olivier Taix, as part of theComparative Political Life option. It will take place from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm in Amphi 3. Free admission.

This conference is organized as part of Difference and Equality Week, a student initiative led by Olivier Taix, a student at the USMB Faculty of Law, and is supervised by Florent Viaud.

Louis-Georges Tin is a French activist involved in the fight against homophobia and racism. A former student at the École normale supérieure, he holds an agrégé and a doctorate in literature. He is currently a lecturer at the IUFM in Orléans, and also teaches at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales. He is also President of the Conseil représentatif des associations noires de France (Cran), and founder of the World Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia.
