From March 8 to April 5, the "Plus d'égalité" (More Equality) Festival will take place on the campuses of the University of Savoie Mont Blanc (USMB) and at partner venues. The goal of the various events at this festival is to take the time to ask questions, accept confrontation, imagine solutions, and above all, reflect and debate together on issues of equality. USMB offers conferences, round tables, and meetings with artists and specialists who will question our representations of the relationship between women and men.
Thursday, March 29, the Gambit dance company invites you to its public rehearsal on the Bourget-du-Lac campus. Working with professional dancers on the theme of differences and how they are expressed through movement, the USMB STAPS bachelor’s students will present their performance atthe Espace de Vie Étudiante from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Free admission.
Gambit Company
In 2017, the Gambit company was already making its mark at USMB by working with undergraduate students in the Sports Science program during two dance masterclasses focused on the theme of gender discrimination. After presenting the results of their work, the students enjoyed the performance “Catch Me,” in which four dancers, four “luchadors,” shift from attack to evasion, and from lightning-fast crossings to acrobatic lifts.
