ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The COVID-19 pandemic has been particularly damaging to our physical and sporting activities. Lockdown and the closure of our sports facilities have made some of us extremely sedentary
,
leading directly to a loss of physical fitness, an increased risk of metabolic and cardiovascular disease, and a drastic deterioration in our quality of life.
Could physical activity prove to be an effective way to recover physical abilities more quickly after being affected by Covid-19? Stays in intensive care are particularly harmful to muscle tissue (muscle wasting) and physical fitness in general. Post-COVID-19 physical activity programs are currently being considered to facilitate/accelerate the recovery of initial physical abilities, thereby contributing to patient treatment. While physical activity is the first to suffer from the pandemic, in many ways it appears to be a possible remedy for the functional consequences of COVID-19.
