ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Sports performance in cycling is multifactorial. It encompasses muscular, energetic, and psychological qualities, as well as technical mastery (movement strategy, equipment used).
Equipment plays an increasingly important role in athletic performance, as it benefits from scientific advances in various fields such as materials science, simulation, and biomechanics. But does this mean that equipment now surpasses the influence of the cyclist's physical qualities on performance? To the point of endangering the cyclist?
In short, is it the bike that makes the difference, or the cyclist?
