The conference "Watch out, it's heating up in the Arctic!", presented by Glenn Yannic, lecturer and researcher at the Alpine Ecology Laboratory (LECA) – UFR Sciences et Montagne (SceM), will take place on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the Presidency of the University of Savoie Mont Blanc, 27 rue Marcoz, 73000 Chambéry.
About the conference
The Arctic is now at the forefront of global climate change. The current violent environmental changes are impacting its biodiversity and the functioning of its marine and terrestrial ecosystems. Arctic ecology research must answer many questions.
What are the links between sea ice and Arctic wildlife? What are the effects of pollution on the survival and demographics of seabirds? How can human communities interact with the Arctic environment to ensure sustainable resource management and the preservation of this fragile and unique natural environment?
