The conference "Les torrents de Savoie : des marqueurs des changements climatiques", presented by Laurent Astrade, teacher-researcher, and Anaïs Fichot, PhD student at the Laboratoire Environnements, Dynamiques et Territoires de la Montagne (EDYTEM) - UFR Sciences et Montagne (SceM), will take place on Tuesday February 24, 2026 at 6pm at the Presidency of theUniversité Savoie Mont Blanc, 27 rue Marcoz, 73000 Chambéry.
About the conference
Torrents, receptacles of the erosion that cascades down from the high mountains, and their cones, living spaces for mountain populations, are formidable witnesses to the interactions between mountain dynamics, human societies and climate change.
Based on a geohistorical reading of Alpine territories, we will show the issues raised and the responses made by managers in the context of climate change.
