The conference “Mobility and Carbon Footprint: Is Remote Work the Solution?”, presented by Bérangère Legendre and Sarah Le Duigou, faculty members atthe Institute for Research in Management and Economics (IREGE) – Institute of Business Administration (IAE Savoie Mont Blanc), will take place on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the University of Savoie Mont Blanc Administration Building, 27 rue Marcoz, 73000 Chambéry.
About the conference
Telework is often touted as an effective tool for influencing mobility patterns and, consequently, reducing greenhouse gas emissions associated with commuting. Certainly, in the short term, the widespread adoption of telework reduces the frequency of these trips. But in the medium and long term, is this effect sustainable? With changes in our lifestyles and travel habits, the equation is not as straightforward as it seems.
