Ciné Malraux: Screening of the documentary *Wild & Fly* and a talk by Marine Souchier (Carrtel)

On February 24, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., the Espace Malraux in Chambéry will screen the documentary “Wild & Fly” as part of the Ciné Malraux program. The screening will be preceded by a talk led by Marine Souchier, a research engineer at the Alpine Research Center on Trophic Networks and Limnic Ecosystems (CARRTEL).

ABOUT THE DOCUMENTARY

Wild & Fly is a unique and contemplative adventure set in the heart of the Alps. It intertwines the art of fly fishing with the sensitive issue of introducing fish into mountain lakes—a practice that disrupts ecosystems and raises questions about an activity so closely tied to the natural world. The documentary follows two passionate anglers on a mountain trek, seen through the eyes of a local artist, Lauriane Miara. As their adventure unfolds, they become aware of the pressures humans place on these fragile natural spaces, eventually questioning their own practice. Through testimonials and encounters with scientists, committed fishermen, and local stakeholders, the film calls for action toward a new ethic of mountain fishing.
