On Friday, November 9, 2018, the Science-Actions association invites you to a science film screening of “Dans les blés – Des semences pour changer le monde.” The film will be shown at the L’Astrée cinema in Chambéry, starting at 8:30 p.m.

“In the Wheat Fields – Seeds to Change the World,” a film by Harold Vasselin (2017)
A story of wheat and people.
Pierre is a biotechnologist, Florent is an organic farmer, and Isabelle is an agronomist. Each of them works to create new varieties of wheat, but they do so in very different ways…
What worlds are they sowing at a time when agricultural changes are intensifying? Faced with global food and economic challenges, choices must be made, calling into question our relationship with plants, the land, and technology.
What kind of wheat should we dream of for tomorrow? For what kind of society?
The screening of the documentary will be followed by a discussion.
