On Thursday, February 13, 2020, the Science-Actions association invites you to a science film screening featuring the documentary “Donner/Recevoir.” The film will be shown at the L’Astrée cinema in Chambéry ( 7 Boulevard du Théâtre) and will begin at 8:30 p.m.

“Giving/Receiving,” a documentary by Bernard Dal Molin and Michèle Dal Molin (2013)

It is not always easy to give, and it is always difficult to receive. This film tells the stories of four families who have faced issues related to organ donation or transplantation. Each story focuses on the thought process leading up to the decision, rather than the medical aspects. With humility and great generosity, the characters reveal to us the suffering, the feelings, and the joys that surrounded these extraordinary moments.

Release date: October 16, 2013
Runtime: 1 hour 15 minutes
Country: France

The screening of the documentary will be followed by a discussion with:

  • Christelle Bruneau, Nurse Coordinator of the Organ Donation and Transplantation Unit, Centre Hospitalier Métropole Savoie (Chambéry)
  • Hugues Van Wynsberghe, treasurer ofADOT73 (Association for the Donation of Human Organs and Tissues), Chambéry
