The science film "Where Have All the Fireflies Gone?" presented by the Sciences-Actions association will be shown on April 27, 2023, at 8:30 p.m. at the Cinéma Astrée in Chambéry.
ABOUT THE DOCUMENTARY
Director Corentin Kimenau presents this documentary as follows: "April 2020. While around 3 billion people are in lockdown, streetlights remain on, illuminating empty streets and consuming energy. In this documentary, I explore the impact of light pollution on the environment, on human beings, and on our ability to dream. I note that it is possible to light more intelligently without having to turn off the lights and return to the Stone Age. In response to my memories and Pasolini, I also set out in search of the fireflies of my childhood, drowned out in this overly bright world where darkness is too often confused with obscurantism."
