On Thursday, March 1, 2018, the Science Actions association invites you to a science film screening of "Sugarland." The film will be shown at the Astrée cinema in Chambéry, starting at 8:30 p.m.
Sugarland, a film by Damon Gameau
Sugar is everywhere! Our entire food industry depends on it. How did this foodstuff manage to infiltrate, often without our knowledge, the heart of our culture and our diets? Damon Gameau embarks on a unique experiment: testing the effects of a high-sugar diet on a healthy body, consuming only foods considered healthy and balanced. Through this fun and informative journey, Damon highlights problematic issues surrounding the sugar industry and tackles its omnipresence on our supermarket shelves! Sugarland will change the way you look at your diet forever!
The screening of the documentary will be followed by a discussion with:
- Dr. Cécile Bossu-Estour, endocrinologist and hospital practitioner at the Centre Hospitalier Métropole Savoie in Chambéry
- Robert Mondot, president of Que Choisir in Chambéry and national administrator responsible for food
